The KCA University Professional Technical Training Institute (PTTI) has a transformative history, originating in 1989 as the Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA). Established by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) to address the shortage of professional accountants in the country, KCA quickly became a premier CPA training institution. Through its strong partnership with ICPAK, KCA has produced over 40% of Kenya’s professional accountants, setting a benchmark in certification excellence.
In 2007, recognizing its growing influence and the impact of its initiatives, KCA transitioned from a college to KCA University. Despite this transition, the University remained committed to its original mission of offering professional programs, which continued under the then School of Professional Programs
